Notice is hereby given pursuant to s. 70.45, Wis. Stats., the assessment roll for the 2025 assessment year will be open for examination starting May 15, 2025. Open Book will be conducted by phone and in person appointments when requested on May 1, 2025 from 10-noon. If you would like to set up a phone appointment, please contact Bowmar Appraisal at 920-733-5369 no later than 3 days prior to the the Board of Review. The 2025 assessment roll will be made available. These documents will assist with scheduling a hearing before the BOR. Keep in mind that objection forms must be filed with the clerk at least 48 hours prior to the BOR unless waived.
Notice is further gtiven that the BOR for Town shall be held May 15, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. at the Fire Station, 631 South Limits Rd, Endeavor. The following are requirements to appear before the BOR and procedural requirements if appearing before the Board:
1. No person shall be allowed to appear before the BOR, testify by telephone or contest the amount of any assessment if the person has refused a reasonable written request by certified mail of the Assessor to view such property.
2. After the 1st meeting of the BOR and before the final adjournment, no person who is scheduled to appear may contact or provide information to a member of the Board about the person’s objection except at a session of the BOR.
3. No person may appear before the BOR, testify to the Board by phone or contest the amount of assessment unless, at least 48 hours before the 1st meeting or at least 48 hours before the objection is heard if the objection is allowed because the person has been granted a waiver of the 48 hour notice of an intent to file a written objection, that the person provides to the clerk notice as to whether the person will ask for removal of any member and which member will be removed and the person’s reasonable estimate of the length of time the hearing will take.
4. When appearing before the Board, the person shall specify, in writing, the person’s estimate of the vallue of the land and of the improvements that are the subject of the person’s objection and specify the information that the person used to arrive at that estimate.
5. The Board shall hear upon oath, by telephone, all ill or disabled persons who present to the Board a letter from a physician, surgeon or osteopath that confirms their illness or disability. No other person may testify by phone.
6. Anyone wishing to file an objection must contact the clerk to complete and submit the required objection form supplied by the Town, prior to appearing before the BOR.
